One week ago I received my free sample in the mail of a new monthly subscription box Oxford Momma. I can’t wait to share my experience with you all. As you know, I’m a big promoter of self care. This subscription box makes making “me” time a little easier…and smells AMAZING.
What is Oxford Momma?
Oxford Momma is a self care book box for moms. You pay a monthly fee to receive one book and 4-5 self care items directly in the mail. You also have the option to prepay 3 months or 6 months at a time and save on the total per month cost. Using a subscription box is convenient (it comes to your front door), fun to guess what will be inside each month, and it forces you to pamper yourself.
Each month you’ll receive a pink box filled with pampering items including one book and 4-5 self care items. The theme of May’s box focused on ways to thrive, to get to a place where you’re not just surviving day to day but thriving. My box contained the following:
- Book: Breathe, Mama, Breathe valued at $14.95
- Grapefruit Scented Soy Candle valued at $24
- Pure & Simple Lip Balm valued at $4.75
- Bath Butta’ Bomb valued at $5.50
- Bookmark valued at $3
- Art Printed & Postcard valued at $3
Monthly subscription: $39.99 per month
3 Month Prepay: $115.99
6 Month Prepay: $228.00
I felt like a kid on Christmas morning when I saw that my complimentary Oxford Momma box had arrived. While I received the box for free, my opinions are honestly and solely my own. As I opened the box my first impression was the magnificent scent that hit me with pure delight. My box included 1 book and 5 additional self care items.
My two favorite items were the book and chapstick. The reason being they are the items I am most likely to use in my every day life and accessible to take with me while I am out of the house and at work. The chapstick smells amazing, is soft, and long lasting (I wish I had it during the winter months). I have not completed the book but it is a great reminder of bringing self care into my life. A bonus was the box included a bookmark.
I don’t tend to burn candles as frequently or take baths, but these pampering items will force me to go outside my norm to treat myself this month. Last but not least I love the inspirational postcard and idea to send it to a special momma. I can’t wait to surprise a special friend.
